Jaguars at Eagles final score: Philadelphia pulls off comeback, defeat Jacksonville 34-17

The Philadelphia Eagles fought back from a 17-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-17 in their season-opener on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Jags stunned the football world by manhandling the Eagles early on. Jacksonville put two touchdowns on the board in the first 8:10 of the game thanks to a couple of touchdown strikes from quarterback Chad Henne to receiver Allen Hurns.
Josh Scoebe’s 49-yard field goal in the second quarter marked the only other first half score of the game.
But running back Darren Sproles would kickstart Philly’s offense with a 49-yard touchdown run at the start of the third.
Nick Foles, who had three first half turnovers, finally looked like his 2013 self in the second half. The Eagles eventually took the lead 24-17 with 6:59 left in the game thanks to a 68-yard score through the air to Jeremy Maclin.
Philadelphia sealed the comeback victory with a fumble recovery for a touchdown by Fletcher Cox with 1:23 remaining that made it 34-17.
Foles finished the game with 322 yards, two touchdowns and one interception on 27-45 passing. Running back LeSean McCoy led the way for Philly on the ground with 21 carries for 74 yards and Maclin was the team’s top wideout with four catches for 97 yards and the touchdown.
On the other side, Henne finished the game 24-43 with 266 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Toby Gehrart finished with 18 carries for 42 yards and Hurns had four catches for 110 yards and the two touchdowns.
The Jaguars are on the road next Sunday at the Washington Redskins. Philly takes on the Colts in Indianapolis for Monday Night Football its next time out.
