If you’re like me, you had Jimmy Graham as the top tight end in your fantasy football rankings. Well, Orange Julius Thomas has a way of disputing that. With three touchdown receptions in the first half of the first game of the NFL season, to be specific.

Last season, Peyton Manning helped launch Graham’s career the way Lil Wayne helped get Drake on the map. The high-powered Denver Broncos offense enjoyed one of the most productive seasons in NFL history and Manning put together the most impressive statistical season ever for a quarterback.

After a loss in the Super Bowl, the Broncos haven’t missed a beat. Thomas is playing out of his mind and figures to be a major matchup problem for opposing defenses all season long. He’s already completed the hat trick of receiving touchdowns.

One.

Thomas is a big body in the red zone. This is why tight ends were invented.

Two. Thomas runs a post to the sideline and outruns the Colts defense to the end zone. Look at that speed. That’s what makes Thomas such a nightmare for defenses.

Oh, and he can dance.

Three. After Emmanuel Sanders set up the field position with a diving catch, Manning went right back to Thomas. This is too easy.

Not to mention that the Denver defense is playing spectacularly well, giving up just seven points to Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts by halftime.

The Broncos and all their weapons are proving to be the alpha dog in the AFC.
