The Miami Dolphins need to show that they can be a football team that can compete with the likes of the competition in the AFC East and what that really means is they need to show they can compete with the New England Patriots.

So far, that’s been going pretty well as Miami is up 7-0 on the Patriots after a huge blocked punt gave them excellent field position to start their season off.

After holding the Tom Brady-rob Gronkowski attack to a three-and-out, the Dolphins punctured New England’s special teams protection to block a punt. If you don’t believe it, check out the video below:

Miami is easy to hate after letting the bullying scandal in their locker room last season happen, but they’re starting to drag themselves away from that. One way to distance themselves from the scandal is to win and so far that’s something Miami is doing.

But they aren’t known to be able to hold that down over the long term, which is the main thing Miami needs to work on this season.
