The Oakland Raiders will go into their opening game against the New York Jets without starting middle linebacker Nick Roach.

Roach was declared inactive for Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. He was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report with a concussion.
According to NFL.com, the Raiders inactives include:
- G Tony Bergstrom
- WR Brice Butler
- DB Chimdi Chekwa (knee)
- DE Shelby Harris
- T Matt McCants
- QB Matt McGloin
- MLB Nick Roach (concussion)
The Jets inactives are:
- DB Josh Bush (quadriceps)
- T Dakota Dozier
- LB IK Enemkpali (foot)
- T Ben Ijalana
- DB Leon McFadden
- CB Dee Milliner (ankle)
- WR Walt Powell
The Raiders had six players listed as probable on the injury report and all are active for Sunday’s game, including defensive end LaMarr Woodley, tight end David Ausberry, kicker Sebastian Janikowski, cornerback Taiwan Jones, quarterback Matt Schaub and tackle Menelik Watson.
The Jets will have safety Antonio Allen and linebacker Nick Bellore available. Both were listed as probable on Friday.
Without Roach in the lineup, the Raiders will start Kaluka Maiava at middle linebacker. In nine games last season, including one start, Maiava had 17 tackles. He was a fourth-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2009 and signed with the Raiders in March 2013.
