The New England Patriots are favored to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl by more than a handful of NFL pundits, but they need to work on a game-by-game basis to get there. The first major test of the season is the Miami Dolphins and it’s proving to be more of a test than New England may have thought.

It’s hard enough to beat a team when you have to out smart and outplay them, but it’s even harder when you’re going up against your own players. That was the case for Tom Brady on Sunday when he had to avoid the Dolphins pass rush but also his own offensive lineman.
Marcus Cannon’s job is to protect Tom Brady but he did more bumping and grinding on this play in the first half on Sunday in Miami:
New England isn’t going to be struggling this season to protect Brady but it’s interesting to see that the rust still needs to be dusted off this isn’t a huge issue, but Brady isn’t a guy who takes kindly to mistakes, especially when they directly involve in him an involuntary way.
