The Chicago Bears lost 23-20 to the Buffalo Bills. It was not the way Jay Cutler wanted to start the season. And thus, the media began to probe Cutler, which he likes even less. The Bears’ quarterback took some shots at the media following the Bears’ game on Sunday.

“You guys [media] are going to be as negative as possible,” Cutler said, via Comcast SportNet Chicago. “We understand that. But we have a lot of games left. We did a lot of good things, obviously we made mistakes today. We’ll clean it up and keep moving on.”
He went on later in the interview — but with less clarity.
“No one knows exactly what we’re doing out there,” he said, CSN Insider John Mullin suggested that Cutler was presumably including himself in that utterance. “I know you guys [media] think you do know, but you don’t.”
I think, however, that Cutler was not including himself in the utterance. Admittedly, he threw two interceptions in the loss. But it seems he means that media will never know what’s happening in the locker room — what the game plan is. So they are making uneducated guesses about his performance. Yet, it sort of speaks for itself.
Cutler finished the day 34-of-49 for 349 yards, two touchdowns and the two aforementioned interceptions. His counter part, E.J. Manuel finished 16-of-22 for 173 yards with one passing touchdown, one rushing touchdown and one interception.
