The Dallas Cowboys lost their season opener to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. For those who didn’t see the game and think Tony Romo is the problem having not watched the game, you might be right. Romo had three interceptions, while the Cowboys turned the ball over four times.
But like wide receiver Terrell Owens before him, wide receiver Dez Bryant is defending Romo and says he isn’t the problem.
From ESPN:
"The poor performance by Tony Romo is the primary reason the Dallas Cowboys are off to an 0-1 start.Just don’t try telling that to Pro Bowl receiver Dez Bryant.“I’m going to tell you something, man. That’s nowhere near the issue,” Bryant said. “I can’t believe you even asked me that question. Like I said, as a whole, we went out and we made some mistakes that we wish we could get back, but we can’t.”"
Running back DeMarco Murray hinted at the issue being play-calling, particularly in the red zone at the end of drives.
Bryant also made it clear that he wasn’t worried about Romo or his ability during the remainder of the season.
