The Minnesota Timberwolves were on the receiving end of a pretty decent trade when it came to dealing Kevin Love this summer, but there are still moves to be made before the team is truly ready for the season.

Love is gone, Andrew Wiggins is ht new face of the franchise but J.J. Barea is still a name that many want to see gone and he’s the next likely roster move for Minnesota.
NBA scribe Chuck Myron opines the Minnesota Timberwolves will likely move J.J. Barea before the season starts but there’s not much else Minnesota can do in terms of roster moves.
"He wants to unload J.J. Barea, so I suspect he will make a move before the season begins. There’s not a ton of pressure for him to do it right away, unless Brady Heslip, Kyrylo Fesenko or someone else they might sign goes wild in camp, since the Wolves have 15 guaranteed contracts. But I think he’ll make a Barea-related move before long."
Myron is right, as the Wolves don’t have much to offer in a trade that they’d be willing to give up. Barea has no value in a trade, the Wolves won’t be dangling any of their young stars and Minnesota’s roster moves will be minimal in impact at the most.
