Larry Fitzgerald has always been the focal point of the Cardinals offense, but that could slowly be changing as Fitzgerald ages and wide receiver Michael Floyd emerges.

One person not yet ready to pull the curtain on the Fitzgerald era in Arizona is Larry’s dad Larry Fitzgerald, Sr., who is a media member in the Twin Cities.
Contrary to what may have been indicated by the Cardinals’ game-plan Monday night against the Chargers, Larry Senior still thinks his son has the game to be the centerpiece of the Arizona offense.
And Senior has taken the Cardinals to task for not agreeing with his view of things.

Being a receiver you can work hard run all game and your dependent on the coach calling your number. And the quarterback getting you the ball

You expect a father to get emotional where his son is involved, but Larry Senior is also a media member and a person who supposedly knows the game of football.
So, Larry Senior should realize that when a receiver doesn’t get targets, it’s not always because he’s been excluded from the game plan. Sometimes it’s just a matter of the ball not flowing his direction on a given night.
Larry only saw four targets Monday night, and caught only one ball for 22 yards. Does Senior honestly think the Cardinals went into the game intending to limit Fitzgerald’s impact to that degree?
And if the Cardinals have scaled back Fitzgerald’s role somewhat, it’s only because Michael Floyd is younger and possibly better.
Larry Senior really ought to know better than to go after the team, unless he’s doing it for some calculated reason, like attempting to force a trade. Which at this point would be really stupid.
