The NFL and the NFLPA were slated to vote on loosening up the drug policy a bit in wake of the recent suspensions to Wes Welker, josh Gordon and others but that vote won’t be happening.

More from NFL

after hyping the vote all day long, the two sides halted the vote as there were disagreements over certain aspects of what was being voted on.

Garafolo reports that the reason the talks were held up and the vote didn’t happen was thanks to disagreements over DUI punishment.

The vote will eventually happen but it’s not going to be coming down tonight. It sounds like mostly everything is agreed on for a vote, but that’s just where the drama begins. It’s unclear if the votes will be tallied in favor of the NFLPA to raise the drug policy a little, but we’re going to have to wait until tomorrow at the earliest to find out.
