In the opening weekend of the season, we saw a lot of what we expected with last year’s Super Bowl teams — the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos — being dominant, along with the San Francisco 49ers proving once again that they are still among the NFL’s elite teams.
There were some surprises, however.
We watched teams like the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears lose to what we thought were lesser teams, but that also showed the NFL world that the Atlanta Falcons are on the verge of returning to the top of the NFC and playing at the level that everyone had expected to see them at entering last season.
