UPDATE (Sept. 9, 9 a.m. ET): ESPN Cleveland is calling Gordon’s reinstatement by the NFL and a return to the team “inevitable.”

Ebony Bird
"Gordon, a native of Houston, had no reason to stay in Cleveland during his indefinite suspension. He was locked out of Browns headquarters and unable to have any contact with the team. So why would he stay in Cleveland? To sell cars? What does that tell you?It tells me that that Gordon’s lawyers – probably even the Browns — were tipped that he would be reinstated soon. It’s all dependent on the NFL and the players union agreeing to a new drug policy, which could come as early Tuesday. If the union and the league dawdle, Gordon’s return would be delayed. But his return is inevitable."
UPDATE (Sept. 6, 7 p.m. ET): Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland believes there’s a “better than 50 percent chance” of Gordon playing this year.
“@FFB_Commish: What's your gut say re Gordon...better than 50% chance of coming back this year?”// I say yes.

Josh Gordon is waiting to see what will happen between the NFL and NFLPA in terms of a new drug policy. If things work out in his favor, there is a chance that Gordon could return to the Cleveland Browns with a reduced or lifted suspension.
