Roger Goodell is starting to feel the heat. The National Organization for Women issued a statement on Wednesday that is calling for the NFL commissioner to step down from his position following the mishandling of the Ray Rice domestic abuse situation.

Goodell initially gave Rice a two-game suspension, but when video of the disturbing assault surfaced Rice was released by the Baltimore Ravens and Goodell turned two games into “indefinite.”

The NFL denies ever seeing the Ray Rice video which is a problem in and of itself.

By ignoring any potential evidence or using plausible deniability out of a way to be held accountable for their weak punishment, Goodell failed to do his job.

Stepping down wouldn’t be an outrageous option.

In fact, Keith Olbermann has also called for Goodell and everyone who mishandled the situation to be shown the door.

We will have to see what happens, but it is clear the NFL has a problem on their hands and how they handle everything will be a defining moment for the league.
