Dallas Cowboys vs. Tennessee Titans

The Dallas Cowboys got off to a rough start in 2014 with an opening loss at home to the San Francisco 49ers thanks to turnovers and three Tony Romo interceptions. On Sunday, the Cowboys play the Tennessee Titans who had a brighter start to their season with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs and solid play from Jake Locker.

Keys to Victory

The Dallas Cowboys key to victory is pretty straightforward. First, don’t turn over the ball, an issue which plagued them in the season opener. Second, don’t abandon the run in the red zone, show confidence in your offensive line.

For the Tennessee Titans, just continue doing what you’re doing. Locker was an efficient 22-of-35 passing for 266 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll be playing a Cowboys secondary that is susceptible to being picked apart and a defensive front that only sacked 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick once. Locker could have a strong showing on Sunday.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Tennessee -3.5
Moneyline: DAL: 160 TEN: -180
O/U: 49.5

Prediction

The Cowboys question marks haven’t been answered in a week. Better offensive play will put them in contention to win, but their defense could give it away just as easily. Will the Cowboys go to the run more in the red zone to convert those opportunities, if their play-calling history is any indication they won’t change a thing.

Either way, I think it will be a close one.

Final Score: Titans: 27, Cowboys: 24
