Lacy suffered a concussion in last Thursday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks and while he looked to be questionable up until now, but the Packers seem confident that he’s going to be a part of the action on Sunday. According to the Milwaukee Journal, Lacy looks like he’s going to be ready to play on Sunday, and head coach Mike McCarthy is encouraged by what he’s seeing this week.
"“I would say Eddie Lacy is near the end, just based on talking with Eddie and what the medical staff feels,” McCarthy said. “He’s had good workouts. He’s progressed very quickly.”"
Lacy is the bell cow back for the Packers which is something they haven’t had in a while. Not since Ahman Green or Dorsey Levens have the Packers been set at running back, but the success Lacey has had is important to the evolution of the Aaron Rodgers offense.
That being said, Green Bay is 0-1 through the first week of the season, and getting Lacy back out onto the field will be key to evening that mark this weekend.
