Eric Bledsoe rumor: Guard in no rush to sign a qualifying offer
By Josh Hill
The Phoenix Suns are in a bit of a standoff with guard Eric Bledsoe as the team doesn’t want to give the guard a max contract but Bledsoe isn’t taking no for an answer.

But while Bledsoe is chasing a max deal, the outcome to the ordeal may see him take less than that in the form of a qualifying offer.
As Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders opines, the Suns won’t be rushing into a deal with Bledsoe and he won’t either as the two sides couldn’t want a more opposite outcome to the situation.
"The word from Bledsoe’s side is that he is likely signing the Qualifying Offer and playing out his contract to get to unrestricted free agency next summer. However, there is no rush in doing that. As soon as he signs he is basically locked into Phoenix and that would remove any chance of a trade out of Phoenix."
The Suns just do not want to pay Bledsoe what he’s asking for and that is where the frustration is coming from for Bledsoe. He wants a max offer, he’s not going to get a max offer and he’s not happy at all about it. Phoenix would like to keep a talent like Bledsoe on roster but the bottom line is that he’s just not a max player and his continuing to ask for that kid of money changes nothing.
