Texans TE Garrett Graham will be active for Week 2
By Mike Dyce
Houston Texans tight end Garrett Graham missed the season opener with a back injury and was declared inactive. Graham was dealing with a back injury and he returned to practice on Wednesday.
“I felt good running around,” Graham said after practicing for a second consecutive day on Thursday. “I’m just trying to progress every day. We’ll see where I’m at by the end of the week.”
He has now been declared active for Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.
“Garrett will be in the game on Sunday,” Texans head coach Bill O’Brien said, via the team’s website.
So how does this impact your fantasy lineups? Well Jets’ Geno Smith as an accurate 23-of-28 passing against the Raiders. Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland caught four passes for 50 yards against the Raiders defense and rookie Jace Amaro had two receptions, albeit only for seven yards.
That means the Raiders defense gave up a combined six receptions to Jets’ tight ends in nine targets.
