In fantasy football, Tight End continues to be an important yet difficult position to fill for many owners. There are a few elite options that are reliable week-in and week-out, but if you miss on those it can be a dry and barren land as you search for someone who will produce even marginal numbers on a regular basis.

Heading into week 2, the position is even trickier for some owners with injuries to Jordan Cameron and Jordan Reed thinning the pool even more. Both of those options are not in these rankings since there’s a good possibility they won’t play. Reed definitely looks like he’ll miss at least this week, but Cameron’s outlook is a bit more optimistic. If Cameron does give it a go this weekend (check back for injury updates later in the week), he would slot in at #7 against the Saints.
As a general rule, it’s best to stick with your stars for another week or two before pulling the plug, but it is also important to make sure you have your best lineup in place to avoid a tough 0-2 start. To help you with that, check out the week 2 starting rankings at QB, WR, and D/ST which you can find on our fantasy football page or in the inset box above.
