He was a stud at Kansas State, but ever since joining the NBA it has been nothing but duds for Michael Beasley. He failed in Miami — twice — failed in Minnesota and was so hated in Phoenix that they’re paying him to not play for them.
As Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders opines, it could be the end of the road for Beasley should he fail to impress with another team this season.
"His camp understands that if he lands somewhere and flames out, that his career in the NBA may be finished, so there is some deliberateness to the process. It is very possible that Beasley is not on a roster when camp opens, and looks for opportunities as the season progresses and injuries start to mount."
The Lakers are a possibility for Beasley at this point but it’s unlikely that any leaps out at him to sign him. For the most part, Beasley has worn out his welcome in the NBA and that’s something that has been made apparent by the utter lack of interest in the talents of a former No. 2 overall pick in the draft.
