When the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens get together, you know there are going to be some big hits. Even with the recent overhauls of NFL rules and the crackdown on violent football, these two teams still beat each other up.
That held true once again on Thursday night in their week 2 showdown in Baltimore, as Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown ran over the middle of field and got absolutely lit up by Ravens’ defensive back Darian Stewart on his team’s opening drive.
This hit looked especially violent because after Brown took the initial hit to the helmet, his head appeared to bounce and hit the turf. Brown then exited and headed for the Pittsburgh locker room, presumably for concussion tests.

So much of what the Steelers do on offense revolves around Brown. Some people are quick to point to Brown as the guy for gadget and gimmick plays because of his speed, but he offers much more than that. He might not be as tall as other wide receivers across the league, but he still gets loose and beats defenders like a legit number one receiver.
It will be a big blow to the Pittsburgh offense if Brown is diagnosed with a concussion, which seems a distinct possibility after that hit.
