The Cowboys know they’ll have to be at their best playing the Titans on the road.
“We have to play our best football,” Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said, via the Dallas Morning News. “This is a very important game. We understand that we’re going on the road against a very, very good defense. I don’t know if they’re No. 1 in the league, but they’ve got to be pretty darn close. It’s going to be a great test for us. When you watch them on tape, they’re playing some great football. It’s going to be difficult, but we’ve got to go in there and do what we need to do and try to figure out a way to get a win.”
Romo isn’t wrong, the Titans defensive performance against the Chiefs put them in the top-10 in opponent passing and rushing yards. Their 178 yards allowed passing was the eighth best in the league in week one, and their 67 rushing yards allowed was sixth overall in the league.
