Will Muschamp, Florida Gators players express pleasure over Kurt Roper offense
By Jack Crosby
The Florida Gators may have had their opening game on the schedule canceled two weeks ago, but they did make their season debut last weekend against Eastern Michigan, and to say it was a success was an understatement. They won the game, 65-0, which of course had the supporters of new offensive coordinator Kurt Roper very happy.

And that includes head coach Will Muschamp and the players on the offensive side of the ball.
When asked if he was happy to hear the crowd chanting for 70 points at the end of the game, Muschamp came up with the best answer possible.
“You’ve been here,” the embattled coach said with a laugh. “What do you think?”
Tight end Clay Burton also weighed in.
“I knew the team was ready to explode and put on a great show for the fans, so I’m glad that we were able to do that,” tight end Clay Burton said. “We have a lot more talent.
“We have a lot of belief in Coach Roper’s system. As a team, we’ve collectively bought in to his offense, and I’m just really excited for the rest of the season. It was great. We really needed it. That’s kind of an understatement, but we needed it.”
Now whether or not the team can keep this up against more top-notch competition in the future remains to be seen, but the results after one game certainly have everyone pleased.
