5. Baltimore Ravens – M&T Bank Stadium

63.4 percent of the Ravens wins since 2000 have come at M&T Bank Stadium and catapulted two teams to the Super Bowl since it opened in 1998.

A capacity of 71,008 rabid fans of the team in the purple and black serves as the backdrop for Thursday and Monday nights and Sundays throughout the football season.

For years the Ravens stout defense made the opposition in M&T Bank Stadium fearful of what lay ahead with Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata, among others roaming the field and making sure that points were at a premium.

The punishing running style of Jamal Lewis earlier this century was a relative one-man offense who dished out just as many hits as he received, especially when he eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark when he ran for 2.066 yards in 2003. Three years after he ran for an NFL record 295 yards as a rookie when the team won the Super Bowl.

The players on the Ravens come and go, but the style of play remains the same as does the inhospitable environment for the opposition traveling to Baltimore.
