Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has been known throughout the past few years to say some things on social media that he probably shouldn’t. However, on Friday night, he may have really overstepped the line once and for all with his take on the recent Adrian Peterson child abuse scandal.

Earlier in the day on Friday it was learned that the Minnesota Vikings star running back had been indicted on charges that he beat his son with a switch. Not long after that it was reported that Peterson had admitted to “whooping” the 4-year-old, and not long after that the Vikings made the smart move and deactivated him.
Of course, since then, some people have been a bit insensitive about the matter, especially when it comes to their dearly beloved fantasy football team.
Unfortunately, as we found out, White was one of them. (He has since deleted the tweet, however we do have this screen shot)

There is no room for this from anyone, especially from someone with such a high profile like White. No human being should have their fantasy team be the first thing on their mind with a situation like this, but this is the unfortunate world we live in.
And just to be clear, even should he say this was a “joke,” that rectifies nothing about going out of your way to type something like this when the abuse of a child is on the deck.
