The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to get back into the playoffs for the first time in what seems like forever, and while the Lovie Smith era is off to a nice start, things are not bright and chirpy in Tampa Bay. After a Week 1 that saw as many as three players go down, the Bucs have been dealt their biggest blow yet.

Defensive end Adrian Clyaborn is in the final year of his rookie contract but he won’t be able to have the season he wanted to have. After suffering a bicep injury, Clayborn’s season is over as he has been placed on IR.

According to both Adam Schefter from ESPN and Roy Cummings from the Tampa Bay Times, Adrian Clayborn has been lost for the season as he’s been placed on IR with a biceps injury.

"Tough blow for Bucs DE Adrian Clayborn, placed on IR with biceps injury. He was making the switch to LDE to accommodate M. Johnson."

Clayborn is just another in a long line of dissapointments at defensive end for the Buccaneers. Michael Bennett left to have a Super Bowl year with the Seahawks last year, Da’Quan Bowers looks to be a bust and Michael Johnson remains injured and unable to contribute.
