This is for entertainment purposes only. If you have not followed this before, realize that 50% is a pretty good goal to aim for. I was under 50% the first two years I did this.
I cannot be responsible for the loss of your horse, car, or any other earthy possession. I am a simple man. I cannot have that on my conscience.
These are the picks for the games that kickoff before 2pm eastern on September 13th:
Indiana(-7.5) at Bowling Green: The oddsmakers must have went back and watched BGSU’s game against Western Kentucky after this line opened. It opened at -3 in favor of the Falcons. so why the big switch? Indiana has a very good offense. I see the Hoosiers winning by double digits.
Kent State at (22)Ohio State(-31.5): This is a huge line, but Kent has been awful. Ohio State needs this, and I think they get it. Give me the Buckeyes.
Ohio at Marshall(-20.5): Without Tettleton, the Bobcats look lost. I will take the Herd.
Central Florida at (20)Missouri(-10.5): UCF is a good team. Good enough to keep this within ten. Give me UCF.
Boise State(-16.5) at Connecticut: Boise is going to run wild on UConn. This is WAY too low. Give me the Broncos.
East Carolina at (17)Virginia Tech(-9.5): This line is falling, and rightfully so. ECU is going to have a hard time moving the ball against Virginia Tech. Will they have a hangover from the huge win in Columbus? Maybe. But if South Carolina only won by ten, I have to think ECU can keep it within that. Give me the Pirates!
Georgia Southern at Georgia Tech(-16.5): The Eagles have done very well in their foray into the world of Division 1. Will this continue? I’m not betting against them now! Give me Georgia Southern!
Pittsburgh(-25.5) at Florida International: FIU lost to Bethune-Cookman. This is way too low. Give me Pitt.
Syracuse(-4.5) at Central Michigan: This line is half of what it opened at. I get that CMU beat a Big 10(14) team, but they beat quite possibly the worst team in that conference. Give me Syracuse.
West Virginia at Maryland(-3.5): I don’t like the half, but I do like the Terps at home. Give me Maryland.
Massachusetts at Vanderbilt(-16.5): Vandy has been bad at home, but UMass might be the worst team in FBS. Give me Vandy.
(21)Louisville(-6.5) at Virginia: This line is plummeting, and I see why. UVA gave UCLA all they could handle in Charlottesville. I think I might even like the Cavs straight up! Give me Virginia.
Air Force(-11.5) at Georgia State: Air Force should have enough firepower to cover this. Give me the Falcons.
Wyoming at (2)Oregon(-43.5): This is a huge line, but Oregon has the horses to cover. Can Wyoming give them any trouble at all? On the road, I doubt it. Give me Oregon.
Come back later today for the rest of the odds and predictions! The ones for the midday games will be up by noon, and the night games will be up by 5:00 eastern.
