The Golden State Warriors went out and made an excellent addition in Shaun Livingston this summer, but they did so without knowing he’d need arthroscopic toe surgery weeks after he was signed.

But while Livingston is out for the time being, there is a lot of hope that he’s going to be back and ready for action in the near future — hopefully before the season starts. That’s how Livingston sees it as least, as the veteran guard is holding out hope that he’s ready to go for the start of the season.

The addition of Livingston is one of the better pickups in the offseason, as he adds depth and talent to an already skillful Warriors team. The Dubs will have Steve Kerr on the bench this year and with Livingston either starting or coming off the bench, Golden State might have the missing piece it needed to contend all year long in the West.
Of course, that all requires Livingston to be healthy enough to help the team out.
