You can never have too many guards in the NBA, apparently, and that’s why the Lakers are seeking out the talents of Pooh Jeter this week.
According to Sportsnado, the Lakers will be trying out guard Pooh Jeter to see if he’s worth getting back over the the States.
"Los Angeles Lakers invited for a tryout American-Ukrainian point-guard Pooh Jeter. The player ended World Cup in Spain with 15.4 points and 5 assists per game. He’s under contract with Chinese team Shandong Flaming Bulls."
It seems like odd interest for the Lakers as they already have Jeremy Lin on roster and likely penciled in as the starter, with Steve Nash playing behind him. But Jeter may be able to give the team a boost and if anything make them a little bit intersting this year.
Jeter isn’t by any means a fix-it-all player, but he may be someone that can surprise fans and critics during what is looking to be a washed out season for the Lakers.
