MLB Wild Card standings update

It is September, and that means the Major League Baseball season is winding down and the hunt for October is heating up. They’ve expanded Major League Baseball playoffs to include two Wild Card teams from each league. The race is tight right now ion both leagues.

In the American League, the Oakland Athletics hold one of the spots with an 81-66 record. A game behind them are the Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals tied at 80-66. Then there are three teams within five games of them just outside of the Wild Card spot.
In the National League things are equally competitive. The San Francisco Giants have a strong grip on one spot with an 82-65 record. Right now the second playoff spot goes to Pittsburgh Pirates with a 78-69 record. The Milwaukee Brewers are trailing the Pirates by just a 1.5 games, and the Atlanta Braves are just 1.5 games behind them.
It is going to be an exciting finish to the 2014 season in Major League Baseball.
