Texans’ Andre Johnson a big fan of Bill O’Brien’s coaching style
Andre Johnson was not happy with the direction the Houston Texans were heading and threatened to hold out of training camp, but he build a relationship with first-year head coach Bill O’Brien and the future Hall of Fame receiver is a big fan of his style.

Johnson likes how O’Brien uses him in the offense and moves him around to create mismatches for the franchise’s best receiver and he really appreciates O’Brien’s hard-nosed approach and how he’ll call you out on your mistakes.
"“Definitely more blunt; he’s gonna tell you what it is, he doesn’t care who you are, and he’s gonna show you what you’re doing wrong,” Johnson told NFL Media’s Albert Breer. “It’s good to have that, because no one gets treated special. If I go out there and mess up, he’s gonna let me know. That’s cool, though. I like that.”"
Some stars don’t like to be criticized, especially in public, but Johnson appreciates the blunt nature in O’Brien’s critiques as he relies on the veteran receiver who a few months ago was hoping for a trade out of town.
Johnson looked good in the team’s regular season opener against the Washington Redskins when he caught six passes for 93 yards in the team’s win. The more time he and O’Brien have to work together, the better Johnson should look on the field despite his age and lack of superior quarterback play.
