After an embarrassing 26-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans in week one, the Kansas City Chiefs were eager to prove they are more like the team that gotten into the playoffs last year rather than the one that was blown out last week.

More from Denver Broncos

Of course, they had to take on the AFC favorite in the Denver Broncos, who held on to defeat the Indianapolis Colts 31-24 last week, on Sunday in order to do it.

Trailing 24-17 with 3:30 to go, the Chiefs got the ball back after holding the Broncos to a field goal.

Alex Smith drove the Chiefs to the Broncos’ two-yard line where they faced fourth and goal. Smith looked for Dwayne Bowe in the front of the end zone but the ball was tipped and fell incomplete, giving the Broncos the victory and 2-0 start. The loss sends the Chiefs to 0-22

Here is the game-winning play.
