Among the unfortunate turns that the 2013 season took for the Chicago Bears on the defensive side of the football, they lost cornerback Charles Tillman to a season-ending injury when he tore his right triceps.

It would be devastating news, then, if Tillman was lost once again in 2014 to a re-injury of that same right triceps. Unfortunately for the Bears and for Tillman, the veteran defender was forced to exit Sunday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers with another right triceps injury.
Besides the nature of the injury, Tillman’s reaction on the sidelines might have been telling. It appeared that Tillman was crying on the sidelines after he was taken out of the game. People took that as a signal that things were not looking up for the man known as ‘Peanut,’ and rightfully so.

Tillman's career is probably over. #Bears that's tough.

I thought Tillman was crying before. Looks like a guy who knows he isn't playing again this year. Would really be a sad ending.

Charles Tillman has had a great career. Here’s hoping he has a chance to play again.

The Bears will still wait to get further word on Tillman’s status before announcing anything, so here is hoping that the news is not as bad as people are anticipating.
