As far as their prospects in 2014 are concerned, the Bears look like a team that will have to earn their wins in shoot-outs with an offense that boasts Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, and Alshon Jeffery. Even with that imposing offense in place, however, it would go a long way for the Bears if they could still come through with big plays on defense every now and then.
If the Bears are looking for a player on their defense that can come through in big spots, they can look no further than veteran cornerback Charles Tillman, or the man known as ‘Peanut’.
Tillman usually makes his name as a guy with a nose for the football, but in this case his play warrants attention because he straight up smacked his opponent:
The Bears won’t be among the league leaders in team defense this season, but if players like Tillman can come through with big plays in key spots, it will go a long way towards Chicago being a playoff contender.
