Is DeMarco Murray on the way to a career day?
By Mike Marteny
Dallas Cowboy running back DeMarco Murray has 115 rushing yards in the first half of today’s game against the Tennessee Titans. The only other time he hit the century mark by halftime was on October 13, 2011. He finished that game with a career high 253 yards rushing.

Those 253 yards are good for ninth place on the all time list for rushing yards in a single game.
Murray is just three yards shy of his opening week total already, and has helped Dallas to a 16-0 halftime lead.
This also marks the first time that Murray has started his season with back-to-back 100 yard rushing games. The knock on Murray has always been his injury history, but when he is healthy, he is showing why he can be one of the league’s best.
The much-maligned Dallas Defense has been dominant. They held the Titans to just 68 yards of offense in the half. Tennessee quarterback Jake Locker, who was a popular fantasy plug-in this week, is 4-12 for just 26 yards and an interception.
Tony Romo is having an efficient first half, going 10-16 for 94 yards. The most important part of his stat line is the fact that he has not thrown an interception.
With Dallas already having a fairly comfortable lead, they could lean on Murray and Joseph Randle even more to try and put the game away. This could mean more chances for Murray, and with his explosiveness, could put him over the 200 yard threshold for the second time in his career.
Will he hit 253 again? Who knows, but since Dallas will likely run a lot in the second half, it is not out of the question!
