Just like everyone thought would happen, the New York Jets showed the Green Bay Packers how a real offense operates. They are up 14-0 early, and got the first score thanks to the legs of Geno Smith.
The Jets took over possession after Aaron Rodgers fumbled on the first drive of the game. The Jets took over just 16 yards away from the end zone. A few runs and a Smith pass to Jeremy Kerley brought the Jest to the one yard line, from where Smith rolled out to the right and walked into the endzone to give the Jets an early lead.

Smith is off to a solid start for his sophomore season. Against the Oakland Raiders in Week 1, Smith completed 23-of-28 passes for 221 yards, a touchdown, an interception and a quarterback rating of 96.6. He also rushed 10 times for 38 yards.
He’s off to a good start here against Green Bay, too. All positive signs for fans of the New York Jets. Fireman Ed must be celebrating jubilantly from his sofa.
