More from Green Bay Packers

The Jets got off to a quick start, scoring via a Geno Smith one-yard rush on their first drive. An Aaron Rodgers fumble on the Packers’ first play of scrimmage would lead to an Eric Decker 29-yard touchdown reception and a Jets 14-0 lead with 8:24 remaining in the first quarter.

A Chris Ivory four-yard rushing touchdown with 10:38 remaining in the second quarter would make it 21-3, but then the Packers mounted their comeback.

Two Mason Crosby field goals and a Randall Cobb six-yard receiving touchdown with eight seconds left in the half sent the Packers to the break down just 21-16.

Rodgers connected with Cobb again on a one-yard score and a two-point conversion that would give Green Bay its first lead of the game at 24-21 with 5:45 left in the third.

The Jets second field goal of the game tied it up, but then came the play of the game. Rodgers connected with Jordy Nelson on a fantastic 80-yard score that put Green Bay up for good at 31-24.

Rodgers finished the game 25-42 for 346 yards and and three touchdowns. Eddie Lacy led the way for the Pack on the ground with 43 yards on 13 carries, while Nelson was Green Bay’s No. 1 wideout on the day, catching nine balls for 209 yards and a score.

On the other side, Geno Smith was 16-32 for 176 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception. Ivory also rushed for 43 yards on 13 carries and Eric Decker was Smith’s top target, catching four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Decker would leave the game early with a hamstring injury.

The Jets’ next game is at home against the Chicago Bears next Monday, while Green Bay faces the Detroit Lions on the road next Sunday.
