The team with the best record in Major League Baseball does not always pose the biggest threat once the playoffs begin. Usually it is the team that comes in riding the biggest hot streak that has the best chance to make a run to the World Series.

How scary is it for the rest of the league, then, that the team with the best record just so happens to also be the hottest team in baseball with two weeks left in the season? That is exactly what is happening with the Los Angeles Angels, who defeated the Houston Astros by a final score of 5-2 on Saturday night for their 10th straight win.
It is only fitting that outfielder Mike Trout was the star in this game. He started things off by opening the scoring with this home run in the bottom of the first inning.
Two innings later it was another solo homer from Trout, who looks like the clear favorite to win his first American League MVP award.
With a 93-55 record, the Angels are 11 games clear of the Oakland Athletics and well on their way to an impressive American League West division crown.
