The Minnesota Vikings are without alleged child abuser Adrian Peterson on Sunday afternoon but the team is going forward regardless. While Peterson was a massive pillar on the offense, the team has other running backs and are proving that for at least this week, Peterson is replaceable.

Minnesota has refocused themselves and have already notched a touchdown against the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon. To add to the notion that Peterson is being replaced, it was his backup Matt Asiata who scored the touchdown on a 25-yard run.
Peterson may end up being cleared of charges in his case but football is the last thing on his mind. Ad for the Vikings, they need to think about football for the sake of the franchise and while no one is expecting Matt Asiata to be Peterson’s replicant, but there is hope that the Vikings can find ways to replace at least part of what Peterson gave the team and so far that has been happening on offense.
