But not every market gets to watch every game, and the folks at 506 Sports have created a map dictating what games are being played in which markets. Let’s start with the CBS line up.
The game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots are getting the lion’s share of the broadcast market. They get almost the entire United States west of the Mississippi River, New England and a lot of the midwest including almost all of Michigan.
The game between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills get the local areas and not much else for the most part. The game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Redskins get those local markets and some of Texas, including Houston and Dallas, both having teams in the same division.
The game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos gets the majority of the country. The two other games get their respective local markets.
The FOX map is a lot more congested because it has two time slots crammed into one.
