The Minnesota Vikings deactivated running back Adrian Peterson in the wake of a child abuse scandal, specifically hitting his son repeatedly with a switch. It hasn’t stopped fans from wearing his jersey and supporting him.
Some even carried a switch.

One fan took a very different approach on what to do with his Adrian Peterson jersey. While he is still wearing it, at least at home where it appears this picture was taken, he has replaced Peterson’s nameplate with one bearing the child abuse hotline phone number.
