Evan Mathis’ hilarious tweet to Gerald McCoy
Injuries are an unfortunate part of sports, and in the NFL it is common to see a slew of injuries occur on the same day. In Week 2 of the NFL season, some major injuries occurred across the league that could majorly affect each player’s respective team.

Among the injuries yesterday were quarterback Robert Griffin III, wide receivers AJ Green and DeSean Jackson, running backs Knowshon Moreno and Jamaal Charles, and defensive tackle Gerald McCoy.
Last week one of the major injuries sustained was an MCL sprain to All-Pro guard Evan Mathis of the Philadelphia Eagles. Mathis was recently put on the injured reserve, designated return list that could have him back on the field as early as Week 9 when the Eagles take on the Carolina Panthers.
This morning, Mathis reached out to fellow injured player Gerald McCoy with a hilarious offering to get both men back on the field as quickly as possible.
McCoy, who is a two-time Pro Bowler for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, broke his hand yesterday during the team’s loss to the St. Louis Rams. At this point in time, there is no word as to how long McCoy will sit out due to the injury, or if he will play through the broken hand with a cast.
Being an NFL player hobbled by injury has got to be very tough, so it is nice to see some brevity from a fellow player who understands your circumstances. With that being said, we are sure that both men can not wait to get back on the field feeling 100 percent.
