In the aftermath of week 2 in fantasy football most teams were hit by at least one injury and some were completely devastated. With all the injuries, there will be plenty of opportunity for new players to step up, but there’s also lots of roster moves to be made.

There were so many injuries in week two you could literally build a fantasy team that would have looked good a week ago out of the players who put up close to nothing or absolutely nothing and left injured in week 2. RG3 would QB the team with Jamaal Charles, Ryan Mathews, and Knowshon Moreno at RB. At receiver, the team features A.J. Green, DeSean Jackson, and week one star Allen Hurns while Vernon Davis holds down the tight end position.
Here’s the latest on the injuries with the information we know as on Monday morning. Make sure to check back throughout the week for the latest updates, and follow @FansidedFantasy on twitter for up-to-the-minute updates and answers to any roster questions you have.
Quarterbacks
Robert Griffin III-Washington Redskins: Griffin dislocated his ankle and will miss significant time. He has an MRI schedule for today to see the extent of the damage. The team is hopeful that he’ll be out just over a month, but he could miss the rest of the season.
Shaun Hill-St. Louis Rams: Hill missed the game in week 2, and Austin Davis led the team to a win. Despite Davis’s success, Coach Jeff Fisher went out of his way to emphasize that Hill is still the starter when he’s healthy.
Running Backs

Jamaal Charles-Kansas City Chiefs: Charles had X-Rays on his ankle that came back negative, and it appears he has a “mild” ankle sprain. Charles may miss some time, but it looks like he has a shot to play in week 3. Monitor his practice time this week.
Adrian Peterson-Minnesota Vikings: The Peterson situation is truly tragic on multiple levels. The on-field effect is to be determined this week, but indications are he’ll miss significant time. He still merits a roster spot on your fantasy team at this point until the discipline is sorted out.
Ryan Mathews-San Diego Chargers: After leaving on a cart, Mathews will have an MRI on his knee. It currently looks like an MCL sprain which would allow the back to return in about a month, but we’ll know more details throughout the week.
Wide Receivers
A.J. Green-Cincinnati Bengals: Green missed practice last week, was active for Sunday, but left before registering a catch or a target. Current indications are that he’ll miss next week’s game to rest up and be ready for a week 5 return after the Bengals bye-week in week 4.

Brandon Marshall-Chicago Bears: After barely practicing, Marshall caught three touchdowns against the 49ers on Sunday Night Football and will have an extra day this week to get healthy before the Bears play the Jets next week on Monday Night Football.
DeSean Jackson-Washington Redskins: Jackson has a sprained AC joint which is the same injury that cost the Browns Jordan Cameron a week 2 start. Jackson is day-to-day this week, so we’ll have to wait and see his status headed into a nice week 3 matchup against his former team the Eagles.
Allen Hurns-Jacksonville Jaguars: Hurns was growing into a larger role in Jacksonville, but twisted his ankle badly late in Sunday’s game. He looks like he’ll be out for at least a week and possibly much longer although no further details have been released at this point.
Tight Ends
Jordan Cameron-Cleveland Browns: Cameron missed the Browns big win over the Saints with his AC Joint injury, but the hope is that the extra rest will get him fully healthy for week 3 and the rest of the season. Keep an eye on his practices, but he should return week 3.
Vernon Davis-San Francisco 49ers: Davis left in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game and was on crutches after the game. The degree of his ankle sprain is still unclear at this point, so check for more info throughout the week as San Francisco looks to bounce back this week against the Cardinals in a very favorable matchup for whoever starts at TE.
