Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis out 6-8 weeks
By Josh Hill
The Jacksonville Jaguars nearly won their first game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles but that couldn’t have been the more opposite in Week 2. After getting blown out by the Washington Redskins, the Jaguars were dealt another blow in the form of an injury.

Wide receiver Allen Hurns is day-to-day still, which is encouraging but the same cannot be said about Marcedes Lewis. The tight end suffered an ankle injury and will be out for the next 6-8 weeks, reports Fox Sports.com’s Mike Garafolo.
Jacksonville already has troubles with their 0-2 record and the loss of Lewis will hurt just as much. He hasn’t helped contribute to any wins, but should the Jaguars need to switch to Blake Bortles at any point in the next 6-8 weeks, then Lewis won’t be there to be a target for him to make his life easier.
It’s a blow, but it’s not as though the Jaguars already derailed Super Bowl plans can get anymore derailed this season — it’s their future they want to be concerned about.
