Minnesota Vikings announce Adrian Peterson will play in Week 3
The Minnesota Vikings struggled mightily this weekend against the New England Patriots. Matt Cassel turned the ball over at a blistering pace, and the offense failed to get anything going after the first drive of the game. Today, things appear to be changing for the better when it comes to the Vikings prospects of winning against the New Orleans Saints.

Minnesota has announced that Adrian Peterson will practice this week and play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Despite deactivating Peterson on Sunday against the Patriots, Minnesota will allow Adrian Peterson to both practice and play against the Saints on Sunday.
Peterson testified earlier this summer in front of a grand jury in regards to his disciplinary actions taken against his child. He was up front in how he handled the situation, and his comments come across as someone who was raised a certain way, and parents in the same way.
At this juncture, it appears that the Vikings will be playing their star running back and letting the legal process play out.
The NFL has mentioned that Peterson could be subject to the new domestic abuse policy, in which a first offense would cost a player six games. However, the NFL has yet to act, and Adiran Peterson has continued to let the legal process play out.
It makes the most sense for the Vikings to continue to play their superstar, as a looming suspension wouldn’t take into account any time that he spent deactivated. Minnesota travels to New Orleans to face off against an 0-2 Saints team on Sunday.
