The 82nd-overall pick of the third round in the 2011 NFL Draft is skilled but has had trouble staying healthy and simply didn’t give the Chargers the production they desired – he has 60 career catches for 801 yards and three touchdowns.
Brown hoped to latch on with a team before the season but instead had to wait until the season got underway. Brown worked out for the Oakland Raiders and reportedly had at least other workouts scheduled but cancelled at least one of those workouts and has reportedly signed with the Raiders.
Adam Caplan of ESPN.com and SiriusXM Radio reported Brown would be signing with the Raiders earlier in the day then reported that it was officially a one-year deal.
At least 1 team has been informed that #Chargers WR Vincent Brown is signing with the #Raiders. He canceled a workout already.

1-year deal for Vincent Brown with the #Raiders, I'm told.

Jerry McDonald of The Oakland Tribune hasn’t confirmed the signing with the Raiders but saw both his locker and jersey number.
Dennis Allen declined comment on whether Raiders worked out WR Vincent Brown. But he's got a locker and uniform number (19)

The Raiders have really struggled on offense in each of the first two weeks and outside of James Jones and Rod Streater, who has a hip flexor and will undergo an MRI this week (and potentially Denarius Moore but he has not gotten off to a good start), they don’t have a lot of reliable targets. They’re trying to give rookie Derek Carr as much help as he can get so the signing makes sense.
