Maybe Rihanna should be hired as the new commissioner of the NFL. She’s the only one who can get anything done around there.

Hours after a profane online rant in which Rihanna slammed CBS for pulling her Thursday Night Football musical opener, the network announced that it is changing its plans for TNF.

Here’s what CBS said in their statement (via FTW):

"“Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” said CBS senior vice president of communications Jen Sabatelle in a statement. “We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.”"

I can’t wait to hear this newly-created theme music that CBS will be slapping together between now and Thursday night. Sounds like a good gig for Motley Crue or Aerosmith or some other washed-up outfit that needs a quick paycheck.

Clearly, it is a bad idea to mess with Rihanna.

Like I said, they should make her commissioner. Rihanna knows how to get things done. Unlike Roger Goodell and his cronies, who need a month worth of meetings before they can decide what to have on their bagels.
