Something decidedly unpleasant happened between Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig in the Dodgers dugout Monday night.

In video clips, Kemp can be seen following Puig through the dugout yelling at him. Don Mattingly gets between the two of them and Kemp backs off.
Then Kemp is seen apparently saying something in the direction of Puig and Mattingly before disappearing down the tunnel.
Well well well…
All is not peaceful in Dodgerland. Tuesday morning the team predictably downplayed the situation. Mattingly told the media it’s just the way they operate there in Los Angeles:
"“Oh, just talking in the dugout, same old things,” Mattingly said. “We’re like the [Oakland] A’s, the ’72 A’s.”"
The ’72 A’s were famously dysfunctional in the clubhouse but went on the field and kicked everyone’s butts.
They also won the World Series, which the Dodgers haven’t done yet.
What happened that apparently set Kemp off? Speculation is that Kemp may have been upset when Puig failed to take an extra base on a hit by Adrian Gonzalez.
Puig has had some pretty well-documented brain farts on the field and it’s possible that one of his teammates finally got fed up with his lack of focus and let him have it.
