Paul Pierce in a Wizards Uniform is an Interesting Sight

For all of his NBA career Paul Pierce has worn a fairly simple, solid colored jersey. It is probably a reason that it didn’t take that long to get used to seeing Pierce in black and white instead of green and white because really there wasn’t a huge difference between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets jersey’s outside of the colors.

This year though Pierce will don a jersey that is a bit more busy when he suits up for the Washington Wizards and yesterday we got our first look at how the red, white and blue will look on him.

While it is a bit weird to see Pierce in his third uniform after all his time in Boston, I think that he looks pretty good in his new uniform.

My only real question is what is up with the pictures of NBA players sitting on the rim? I feel like we get this type of picture fairly often and I don’t ever understand it. I would rather see things that are normal or casual like Pierce shooting some jumpers or even spinning the ball on his finger like in the other picture.

But sitting on the rim? Who really does that?

Anyway if you want to see a few more pictures of Pierce in his new gear head over the the Triangle Offense where Ananth Pandian has curated a few more.
