The Minnesota Vikings are going through enough right now with Adrian Peterson that anything else that happens to them is just an added headache. Chad Greenway is in that boat as while he doesn’t want to take the attention of the team away from far greater issues than his own, he’s dealing with what has now been diagnosed as a broken hand.

Greenway left last Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots with a hand injury and that injury has been identified as a broken bone. It’s unclear how long Greenway is going to be out but the bottom line is that this is something that the Vikings didn’t need right now.
"After the owners and legal team said their piece, head coach Mike Zimmer took the stand and announced that veteran LB Chad Greenway had suffered a broken hand. Zimmer said the team wasn’t positive about the extent of the injury, but the coach was optimistic that Chad would still be able to play this weekend."
The Vikings need help to get them away from this Adrian Peterson mess and winning will help accomplish that. But without Greenway, the Vikings are without their leading tackler from the past few seasons and without one of the leaders in the locker room who can help center the team and bring the focus back to football.
