3) AFC East

I firmly believe that there isn’t a “bad” team in the AFC East. The New England Patriots are back to being the New England Patriots after a runaway road win in Minnesota, and frankly, no one should be worried about Tom Brady and the offense. The track record is long enough at this stage where they can simply “manage the game” and alleviate any concern.

However, the Pats aren’t currently leading the way in the division, as the Buffalo Bills have been wildly impressive on their way to a 2-0 mark. Wins over the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins have inspired a great deal of confidence in Buffalo, and regardless of the feeling surrounding their offense, that defense is quite legitimate. With a gun to my head, the Patriots would be the pick for long-term success, but Buffalo is for real.

The aforementioned Dolphins and New York Jets also check in at 1-1, and while both have issues (health for Miami, offensive talent for NYJ), there is no threat for either to become embarrassing to the rest of the group. That’s a win, especially compared to some of the other outfits across the league.
